Long gone day, the song says

Long gone day.. is the title of a great song that came to my mind after I decided to have a long long walk. This walk had to be in a naturalistic place, with not many people, towards the top of the city – which basically is a place for tourists, but luckily, they’re not so mad like me to choose the warmest hours of the day. I generally love to explore these areas with long random walking moments which last almost 2 hours, maybe more…

And I generally take at least 1 picture a step 🙌 – these were the last 10 steps, the hardest ones:

Magna Greece, arts and projections of a show in Basilicata

Magna Grecia, Senise
Magna Greece, Senise

Among the variety of things you can choose to spend it’s a good choice to spend some hours doing something you always think could be a little boring: I’m talking about spending some hours at the theatre, instead of the ordinary daily routine. It has been a mix of historical narrative about Magna Greece myths totally surrounded by a modern scenery full of projections, lights, colours and fountains.

I’m talking about a theatrical pièce which takes place in a new amphitheater built in Senise, a little town of Basilicata, in the South of Italy. It’s the first epic about Greek domination in this territory that then became Magna Greece:

…the story is told towards the extraordinary special effects of water and projections, and it’s about Alexios, the protagonist, who wants to travel the world and this journey will make him widen Magna Greece kingdom:

Say Hanbok – the traditional Korean dress

Korean festival in Florence
Korean festival in Florence – Hanbok, the traditional Korean dress

Korean mood has always been so cute and interesting, maybe because of their hilarious way of being, colorful dresses, colorful faces, colorful dishes, smiles and quiteness. It happened some days ago, while walking down the street, that two super colorful Korean girls were inviting people to enjoy their festival… and so it was.

Here we go, let’s have a taste of their culture. The first thing to do was to choose a Korean name – kkoch was mine, which means flower – and then enjoy a tour in their arts, discovering their writing style, paintings and origamis. Needless to say, the hanboks were the top, the traditional Korean clothing often made by silk and original fantasy, flowers, flags or abstracts design.

Carpool Karaoke, sharing news not only cars

James Corden, an English actor, writer, producer, comedian and TV show man, is that kind of guy that draw attention because is incredibly theatrical and charismatic and he always choose the right way to communicate with the world. He’s very popular in UK and USA too and he’s becoming even more known in Europe.

He’s able to do his own communication through new perspectives and methods, using his worldwide popular show as a way to get in touch with vips and stars and make them talking frankly, during a fast car pooling trip while listening to some great music – and we know, it always helps.

It’s the Carpool Karaoke, and it’s about sharing news – not only cars – with superstars, super singers, politics people, influencers of the world.. driving and singing all together, how fun is that?

..what I’m thinking is just that this is a brilliant idea: (quite) real time interviews and shows are becoming part of the most viewed videos, they are a new kind of web contents that is really appreciated because is more spontaneous than you can suppose, and obviously, it’s not the ordinary content that people can look at while blogging or surfing the Internet.

Hope to share even more Carpool karaoke – that’s great Mr James and it’s interesting spend some minutes listening to the singers and people you chose and make fun of some life moments.

Monalisa and Berta, 2 women stuck in Florence

It was a funny discovery, it happened some days ago while I was searching for something to do in Florence – hopefully for free

So I ended up reading a city blog and, 5 minutes after, I was walking towards Palazzo Pitti, here you are what I found out:

Lisa Gherardini, Monnalisa, Florence

image

It’s in Via Sguazza, the street were Lisa Gherardini – better known as Monalisa, La Gioconda, the wonderful lover of Leonardo Da Vinci was born. And she’s still there in her house waiting for being admired by the people of the world.

Just in front of her there’s a new version of Monalisa, a contemporary picture created by Blub, a street artist in Florence whose paintings and creations are always totally submerged in the water:

After taking some pictures, I head ed towards the second lady of Florence, the less popular one, but it is worth it to tell her story too.

I’m talking about ‘La Berta‘ whose legend tells she was stuck in the wall by magic while she was screaming at a sentenced magician to not give any water to help him. While it was happening, the magician replied that she won’t be able anymore to move her head from that wall of the tower, and there she is:

You just have to look towards the highest part of the wall of Santa Maria Maggiore to see her stuck in between of the two highest windows:

If you fancy walking up and down the city, enjoy its uniqueness and discover these little pieces of ancient arts.

Go Pokémon Go, the latest about the augmented reality game

Have you heard the latest? Pokémon are coming back! Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Greninjam and them all are still alive and they’re coming back to influence our life, as they already did some years ago.

Pokémon
Pokémon

But this time is different, they are more than a cartoon on TV, they are around you and you can enjoy the ordinary life by looking at them and interacting with them, in a totally immersive environment. Yes, Pokémon hit the augmented reality game thanks to a new and totally captivating and fascinating app named Pokémon Go.

Pokémon GO, the new trend
Pokémon GO, the new trend

It is the only app that in a few days is already in the top chart of the App Store (it’s not on the top chart of Google Play, just because it will be available in the next days): it’s completely beating the porno market contents, Twitter, Candy Crush, Ingress and is now becoming a giant if compared to Snapchat.

Ingress - Augmented reality
Ingress – Augmented reality

Augmented reality (or AR) is used to describe the mix of reality and Internet elements, that is to say when virtual elements start to be part of the reality. AR has not to be confused with ARG, or alternate reality game, which is used to describe an interactive narrative game on multimedia platforms (have a look at Stories in between to find out more!).

Those are examples of augmented reality, the place in which you go thorugh your mobile device and you can discover more about what you see, discovering the details about the surrounding:

Augmented Reality in the surrounding  Augmented Reality in the surrounding

Schermata 2016-07-14 alle 22.12.41  Augmented Reality in the surrounding

Thus, Pokémon Go is an AR game and it allows you to discover more about the place where you are and live in, augmenting the information about possible museums, streets, institutions, buildings, shops and parks in which you can go during your walks, together with your app:

…among the latest augmented reality games, it seem to be the winner, and still many countries do not yet have access. GO and catch them all 🙂

The power of London

The power of London is the first thing that came to my mind thinking back to the last weekend – while I start singing…the power of Lo-ove..

London detail: street art Teddy Bear

The frenetical ingredient that everybody needs after a long time spent at work, and before the relaxing and chilling vacation arrives. That detail that adds a free-style mood to the ordinary life, those people who don’t care about what they have to dress in the morning or at night, and that civic-minded Englishness that each time is able to surprise you again and again.

All these facts are also relevant if you decide to go to London for some days, because your best friends live there and you need to see them after a while, and because there’s a special festival too – and finally, you also discover that there’s gonna be the Queen’s bbirthday celebration too! top.

Something in the way, going up to the top of Florence

You will always appreciate the wonderful walk that leads you to the top of the city of Florence. You can choose several ways to get there, but the best one is through the little gardens behind the Tower of San Niccolò.

Something in the way is the title of this note, and here you are what I found going up to the top of Florence:
